This Page is of pictures of the flight 93 temporary memorial and
crash site as well as the flight 93 chapel we visited on 9/10 & 9/11 06 to
dedicate the monument from NJ people to the heroes of flight 93
On sunday 9/10 Renay and I got to dedicate the monument from NJ people to the
heroes on board flight 93 at the temporary memorial adjacent to the crash site
in Shanksville, PA. There were many family members present as we dedicated it
and the outpouring of appreciation from them was unreal. One of the family
members was the mother of Honor Elizabeth Wainio a 27 year old woman from
Watchung, NJ. We have become friends with her. Shes very nice. We were able to
place the monument exactly where I had hoped to...directly facing the flag in
the field that is over the actual crash site. We also got to visit the flight
93 memorial chapel in town and got to see the monument that was just dedicated
to the flight crew and was totally paid for by flight attendants and pilots.
This monument is spectacular to say the least...it had to cost at least
$250,000.00.
On Monday 9/11 we took part in the memorial ceremony and although it was very
overcast and at times a cold drizzle began the weather held and the crowd of
about 10,000 people got to hear from retired general Tommy Franks, tom ridge,
Arlen Specter, the governor of pa and several family members.
